Written Prescriptions can be provided by this practice.
Written Prescriptions can be fulfilled by another veterinary surgeon or a registered pharmacy.
The fees for the written prescription are as follows. If multiple drugs for a single pet at the same time are requested the reduced cumulative rates will be charged.
1 Medicine £ 16.66 + vat
2 Medicines £ 22.50 + vat
Written Prescriptions can be posted if the current postage and packing price is paid at the request and the whole account cleared (Currently P & P is £4.99 + vat).
A written prescription may not be appropriate if your animal is an in-patient or immediate treatment is necessary.
All repeat prescriptions are only for animals under a “veterinarians care” and are subject to a repeat prescription consultation. The current price of which is from £32.50 + vat.
A dispensing fee will be added to all drugs purchased from this practice. It is currently £5.16 + vat per item
All repeat prescription medications need at least 1 working day (Monday-Friday) in between ordering and collection.
A prescription will only be repeated as directed by the veterinarian who cares for your pet following a clinical assessment. The time between consultations will vary generally between 1-6 months depending on your pet’s condition and response. In all cases it will never be longer than 6 months.
Some conditions will need certain blood or other testing to be done, in addition to a consultation before a prescription can be further authorised.
It is your responsibility to allow enough time for bloods to be taken, results received and interpreted before the next supply or prescription.
The quantity supplied at 1 dispensing will be the equivalent of 1 months supply for the pet. Please note that only authorised veterinary medicines will be prescribed unless one is not available, in which case the prescribing cascade will be implemented.
Written prescriptions will need all the above criteria in addition will need at least 3 working days between request and collection.
We have no further responsibility for the medicine’s procurement once a prescription has been written.
Replacement prescriptions will be charged for at the current rate.
This practice will supply prescription medicines to animals not under their care. A prescription will be required from a veterinary surgeon who does have the animals under their care for a POM-V product.
The prices of and further information on POM-V’s available from this practice, and dispensed for your pet, can be provided on request.
